Wisconsin’s state superintendent of schools says the bill restricting the rights of transgender youth will only end up killing children.
Superintendent Jill Underly told lawmakers yesterday that a pair of proposals that would keep transgender athletes out of girls and women’s sports in the state is anti-trans, and dangerous. Republican State Rep. Barb Dittrich is proposing two plans that would keep girls and women’s sports for girls and women only. A number of LGBTQ advocates and lawmakers yesterday also said the proposal is hurtful, and would harm some people.
