Human trafficking is going under the spotlight at the Wisconsin Capitol today.
The Speaker’s Task Force On Human Trafficking will hold its first hearings, with an eye towards new laws that could help combat human trafficking. Both the state’s Department of Justice, and the state’s Department of Public Instruction are set to testify. State Rep. Jerry O’Connor says human trafficking is a growing problem in the state, and he wants to see what additional laws are needed to fight it.
