There’s a new bill legalizing the herbal supplement Kratom in Wisconsin.
The bill co-author, Republican John Macco, says small doses can have act like a narcotic painkiller without being addictive. He says they hope the supplement can help end the opioid epidemic. Lawmakers failed to legalize Kratom last year after criticism from law enforcement.
