Early Voting Push Begins

Republicans in Wisconsin are now embracing early voting.

Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel yesterday launched what they are calling the Bank Your Vote initiative. McDaniel says the idea is to get Republicans to vote early, so they don’t have to wait for or worry about Election Day. Democrats in the state say the Republican push comes after years of Republicans trying to limit early voting. McDaniel says football teams don’t wait ’til the fourth quarter to start scoring, and they shouldn’t wait to start collecting votes. Wisconsin election managers say more than 740-thousand people in the state voted early in last November’s election.
