Waushara Co. Wildfire Continues to Burn

News | July 13, 2023 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy
Waushara Co. Wildfire Continues to Burn

The fire in Waushara County is contained, but still burning.

The state’s Department of Natural Resources yesterday firefighters finally got the fire that started Monday under control. Investigators say the fire started when someone was burning pallets. Firefighters are not saying when the fire will burn itself out, but fire crews in Coloma say they will spend another day at the fire today. The DNR says folks across Wisconsin should be careful with burning this week, despite some steady rains in parts of the state yesterday.
