The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a one vehicle motorcycle crash at the bottom of the westbound on ramp from Highway 93 to Interstate 94.
Upon arrival on scene of the crash a lone occupant from the motorcycle was located with life threating injuries. First aid and life safety measures were provided to the victim of the crash. The Interstate on-ramp was closed during the incident. The victim was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
The driver, 56 Year Old Steven Berndt, later succumbed to his injuries. The crash remains under investigation. Troopers were assisted by Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office.
