Governor Tony Evers is ordering flags across Wisconsin to fly at half-staff today to honor firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Evers signed an executive order in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service during National Fallen Firefighters Weekend. He said in a statement that honoring those firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty “is a responsibility we share as a state and nation.” The order will be in effect from sunrise to sunset.
