Darrell Brooks doesn’t have any money left, but if he ever gets some it will all go to his victims.
Yesterday a Waukesha County judge increased Brooks’ restitution payments to over a half-million dollars. He was originally ordered to pay his victims and their insurance companies just over 171 thousand-dollars in restitution. Prosecutors said there is a chance that Brooks could sell his story and profit from it; the judge said she didn’t want that to happen. Brooks is serving his six life sentences for driving through the parade crowd back in 2021.
