Trio Facing Federal Charges After Making Homemade Explosives

Two brothers and a sister are now facing federal charges after investigators say they were selling homemade flashbang grenades out of their house in Kenosha County.

Erik and James Kustales and Melissa Simmons were arrested in March, and federal agents found nearly 300 explosive devices, more than one hundred pounds of chemicals to make explosives, dozens of guns, including several unregistered, fully-automatic machine guns, and nearly 20 pounds of marijuana. The Justice Department says an informant led them to the three, and helped the case by buying several flashbangs from the trio. All three are out on bond and awaiting trial.
