Republicans now have a supermajority in the Wisconsin Senate.
Republican Representative Dan Knodl beat out Democratic businesswoman Jodi Habush Sinykin in the Wisconsin Senate District Eight election Tuesday. This gives Republicans a two-thirds majority in the senate, but overriding vetoes from the governor will still be difficult because they’re two seats shy of a supermajority in the Wisconsin House.
