Friday Feel Good: Big Hearts, Little Toes

Friday Feel Good: Big Hearts, Little Toes

As Spring gets underway, we gear up for a season of those new litlte babies, sunshine, and smiles of a new season. For this weeks Friday Feel Good we get to visit a lap that is ready for the littlest bundles…and the biggest hearts.

A kindergarten teacher retires and gets busy cuddling babies.  Libby Clemmer started volunteering at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, after her husband died.

The retired teacher cuddles and coos and comforts newborn babies for ten minutes at a time. These babies are itty-bitty-teeny-tiny and research shows physical contact like cuddling helps premature babies gain weight, grow faster and even develop trusting relationships later in life. Clemmer says this is a gift she can easily share, plus, she’s following in her husband’s footsteps, he too volunteered before he died.

No doubt bringing a big boost to the littlest lives.

YOU CAN HEAR THE FRIDAY FEEL GOOD EVERY FRIDAY AT 2:45pm ON GREATEST HITS 98.1
