A University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire student is pleading guilty to making terrorist threats for a post on YikYak last fall.
Mason Waymire admitted to making the post that “there’s a bomb at Towers,” which is a residence hall on campus, after a night of drinking. Waymire said he was dared to do it. The plea deal means he has to remain sober for a year and a half, write an apology letter to the campus, and not commit crimes.
