Crews are called out to a house fire in Dekorra after a Christmas tree goes up in flames.
WMTV says the Poynette-Dekorra Fire Department responded to a single-family residence on Tipperary Road early Saturday morning and saw smoke coming from the house. Units on the scene found the Christmas tree on fire and extinguished it. The fire department is urging the public to make sure live Christmas trees have plenty of water and that Christmas lights are working properly.
