Silvermine Shelved For 2023

Silvermine Shelved For 2023

A popular event will not be flying high this winter.

Flying Eagles Marketing Chair Tami Jastrow recently announced that they will not be hosting a tournament at Silver Mine in 2023.  The Scaffold has been inspected & it was determined that they are unable to safely hold a competition on the aging wood structure (which is on top of the steel).

The hope to raise enough money in the future to fix what is needed, improve the facilities and to host competitions again in future years.

In the meantime, there will still be winter action. They will be hosting two qualifying events on the state-of-the art K55 hill in January. Also, they will host a Junior National team qualifier in Nordic Combined on Saturday January 7th.  That event consists of one competition jump and then a cross country race out at the Silver Mine trails.  The second event will occur at the end of the 91st annual Flying Eagles Invitational.
