An ultralight pilot is unhurt after he had to make an emergency landing on the Wisconsin River in Sauk County.
The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office said the pilot was standing on a sandbar when emergency crews arrived Thursday afternoon. The pilot said his electric plane lost power as he was flying over the river so he made a controlled landing on the sandbar. Not only was the pilot unhurt, but there was no damage to the plane.
