Chippewa Falls Looks To Add Badges

They are looking to hire at Chippewa Falls’ police department.

The city yesterday said there is an opening to hire another officer. There are currently 20 cops in Chippewa Falls. Police Chief Matt Kelm says back in 2012 they saw nearly 100 applications for their one open position. That was down to five the last time Chippewa Falls went looking for a new officer.

Starting pay as a new officer is just under 54 thousand-dollars a year, and the city is offering a two thousand-dollar signing bonus to officers with some experience. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO.
