Gov. Evers Talks Taxes, Surplus

Wisconsin’s governor says he wants to use some of the state’s surplus to cut prices at the pump.

Governor Evers told Milwaukee TV station, TMJ4, last night that he is considering a temporary gas tax holiday. The governor would then use some of Wisconsin’s record five billion-dollar surplus to make-up for any lost revenue. Republicans at the Capitol in Madison have said they want to use the surplus to cover the cost of lowering taxes in the state.
