Pedestrian Struck On I-94

A pedestrian was hit on I94.

It was at approximately 10:57 p.m. on Thursday June 21st when the NWR Eau Claire Post Communications Center received a call from St. Croix County dispatch advising of a pedestrian that had been struck near mile marker 1 on I-94 eastbound. WI State Patrol Troopers and St. Croix County Deputies responded to the scene.

Upon arrival it was determined that a pedestrian, 59 year old Darryl Grimshaw from Australia, was wearing dark colored clothing on the interstate and was struck by a pickup truck driven by 45 year old Ryan Ross from River Falls.

The male pedestrian received serious injuries and was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. The crash remains under investigation by the WI State Patrol.
