Add La Crosse to the list of cities in Wisconsin that have banned conversion therapy.
Mayor Mitch Reynolds yesterday said he signed the new ordinance on Monday, before a group led by two former city council members urged him to veto the idea. That group said the ban will stop parents from making the decisions they feel is best for their kids. City leaders say the ban will stop what they call an abusive practice against gays and lesbians.
