The state is getting involved in the proposed Lowes Creek Park development.
The Department of Administration yesterday said annexing the land into the city of Eau Claire is not in the public interest. The state says the Town of Washington would be a better fit for the water and sewer needs of the new development. It’s not clear what the opinion will mean for the land annexation or the plan to build new homes there.
