WI Sees Coronavirus Spike, Recommends Return of Indoor Masking

More counties with high coronavirus activities are in western Wisconsin.

The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said people in the seven counties in Wisconsin with high coronavirus levels should mask-up indoors. Those counties include Vernon, La Crosse, and Monroe, and Barron and Rusk, as well as Kenosha and Racine in southeastern Wisconsin. DHS says another 38 counties in the state are considered to have medium coronavirus activity levels.

In response to the rise in cases, the state of Wisconsin is recommending that some people wear masks once again. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said people in the seven counties in Wisconsin with high coronavirus levels should mask-up indoors. Wisconsin hasn’t had a statewide mask mandate since the summer of 2020.
