Barron Co. Flock Catches Flu

Barron Co. Flock Catches Flu

A poultry flock in northern Wisconsin has caught the contagious bird flu.

State officials said Saturday that a case of the “highly pathogenic avian influenza” has been found in Barron County, and that all birds on the property will have to be euthanized to avoid further spread.  It’s the fourth Wisconsin poultry flock to catch the bird flu.  All poultry shows across Wisconsin have been suspended until May 31st to keep the flu from spreading.
