Wausau Drug Bust Turns Up Meth, Cash

One of the latest drug busts in the Wausau-area saw a suspect try and escape out of a second story window.

Officers say 40-year-old Lawrence Lavergne jumped out of the window at the Stoney Creek Hotel when they came to arrest him on Monday.  The Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force says Lavergne had 11-thousand-dollars worth of meth and over seven thousand-dollars in cash on him when they arrested him.  He’s due in court for a hearing later today.
