Agreement Reached By Lambeau Leaders

There won’t be any changes to how Lambeau Field will be managed.

State Rep. David Steffen said he met with Lambeau Field Stadium District Board leaders last week and came to an agreement on transparency and oversight. Steffen was pushing a piece of legislation to dissolve the stadium taxing district, and shift the responsibilities to the city of Green Bay. Now, Lambeau managers will be more open about the taxing district’s finances, and have agreed to bring-in an outside lawyer when renegotiating the Packers’ next lease. Steffen said he wanted to make sure taxpayers in Brown County were getting what they should from Lambeau managers. He is going to withdraw his legislation.
