That didn’t take long. Chippewa Valley Republican Brian Westrate announced his campaign for State Senate just one day after the area’s current senator, Kathy Bernier, announced that she isn’t running again.
Westrate lives with his family in Fall Creek, and has been active in Republican politics for a while. He says he wants to protect western Wisconsin from Governor Evers and his disastrous policies. Bernier announced her decision to step away from the Senate on Friday.
