WI Vaccines Hold Steady

Wisconsin is heading into the last week of the month averaging over 25 thousand coronavirus vaccinations per-week.

The state’s Department of Health Services says the state’s coronavirus vaccine count is holding steady. In addition to the vaccines, DHS says doctors and nurses are averaging just over 17 thousand booster shots per week as well. Just over three-point-six million people in Wisconsin have gotten one dose of the coronavirus vaccine. A little over one-and-a-half million people have gotten a booster shot. When it comes to the political scene, Governor Tony Evers is going to continue his focus on vaccinations.

Governor Evers said in a series of year-end interviews that he is not looking to send the National Guard to hospitals across the state. He’s going to allow FEMA to take the lead on that. Governor Evers says he wants to focus on increasing the state’s vaccination numbers.
