Bond Set at $100K After Deadly Buggy Crash

The suspect in last week’s deadly buggy wreck in Taylor County is looking at a six-figure bond.

A judge in Medford yesterday set 35-year-old Skyler Opelt’s bond at 100 thousand-dollars. Investigators say he was high when he smashed into the back of a buggy full of kids last Wednesday. Nine people went to the hospital, one of them died. Opelt is due back in court in January.
