Kleefisch Hits the Campaign Trail

Rebecca Kleefisch is making it known she’s the frontrunner in the Republican race for governor. Kleefisch’s campaign yesterday said she raised over one-million-dollars last week.

She formally announced her bid to become governor last Thursday. Kleefisch has about one-and-a-half million-dollars on-hand. While that is a lot for one week, Democratic Governor Tony Evers has about seven-million-dollars in his campaign account.

When it comes to some of her platforms, she will make the state’s abortion laws more restrictive.

Republican Rebecca Kleefisch said in an interview last week that she’d sign a six-week abortion law, similar to the one in Texas. Kleefisch says she would ban abortions after you can hear a baby’s heartbeat, which is usually about six weeks.

We’ll show you different sides so you can decide, and current Governor Tony Evers has vowed to fight any attempt to place new restrictions on abortion and has vetoed plans from the Republican-controlled legislature to do just that.
