That means there are some changes in local protocol. For example, kids in Chippewa Falls schools don’t have to wear their masks yet, but they will have some new coronavirus rules to deal with.

Chippewa Falls Superintendent Jeff Holmes sent a letter home to parents on Friday explaining that the school is canceling field trips, banning visitors, and increasing distance inside schools as a way to fight rising coronavirus numbers. Holmes says, as of Friday, 25 students have tested positive for the virus and over 200 students are in quarantine because of close contact. He says if things don’t improve, he may order students to mask-up once again.
