Motorcycle Vs. Deer Crash in Mondovi

On August 2, 2021 at approximately 20:53 the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call of a motorcycle vs. deer crash at the intersection of Highway 37 and Highway 88 in the Town of Mondovi. It was reported that the operator of the motorcycle, 28 year old, David Gene Warn, III of Milton, WI, was injured and laying in the roadway. 

Upon arrival of emergency crews, the 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle was laying on its side in the middle of Highway 37 and medical care was provided to the driver. Witnesses reported that the motorcycle was traveling north on Highway 37 when a deer ran out on to the road and the motorcycle struck the deer causing the crash. The driver sustained a head injury and was transported to an Eau Claire hospital by Mondovi Ambulance.

Emergency crews were on scene from the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, Mondovi Police Department, Mondovi Fire Department, Mondovi Ambulance, and Dover First Responders.
