Special Session Expected to be Especially Short

No one expects much from Governor Evers’ latest special session at the Capitol.

The governor yesterday ordered the state Assembly back to Madison to add 550-million-dollars more to the state budget for schools. The governor says it’s the ‘right thing to do’ for kids. Republican lawmakers say it’s nothing more than politics. Lawmakers say Wisconsin schools have more money than ever before in the new budget, including two-and-a-half-billion-dollars in federal money. The special session is expected to last a matter of minutes later today.
