WI Coronavirus Snapshot; Madison Masks Up

The people who are coming-down with the coronavirus in Wisconsin are, for the most part, not vaccinated.

Governor Tony Evers yesterday said the uptick in coronavirus cases is mostly among people who have not gotten their shot. The state’s Department of Health Services reported 242 new cases yesterday. Public health managers say the state’s coronavirus numbers are tickling-up while vaccination numbers are leveling-off. CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM WI DHS.

Looking ahead to the fall, students and teachers in Madison Public Schools will have to wear a mask when they return to class this fall.

The city’s school district yesterday said its safety plan will require masks for everyone, even if they are vaccinated. Kids will also be socially distanced in the classroom. The mask order only applies inside school buildings. Madison schools are not saying what the rules will be for high school sports. That announcement will come in a few weeks.
