Multiple Injuries in Buffalo Co. Crash

On Saturday, July 3rd, 2021, at approximately 5:03 pm the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office took report of a vehicle versus two motorcycles crash with injuries on State Highway 35 at the intersection of State Highway 25 in the township of Nelson.

Upon the arrival of first responders, a maroon 2017 Toyota 4-Runner was in the northbound lane facing southbound with the driver’s side airbags deployed. A 2020 Harley-Davidson and a 2016 Harley-Davidson were in the grass median of the roadway with damage.

The operator of the Toyota 4 Runner was Richard J. Allemann, age 52 of Cochrane, WI, and his passenger was Andrew Arthur Allemann age 25 of Cochrane, WI. The solo occupant of the 2020 Harley-Davidson was Andrew R. Petrenko, age 30 of Fox Lake, IL. The operator of the 2016 Harley-Davidson was Jonathan S. Brady, age 28 of Ingleside, IL, and his passenger was Marissa M Grant, age 24 of Antioch, IL. Law Enforcement was informed that Richard fell asleep behind the wheel, drifted across the centerline, and struck the motorcyclists. Both Jonathan and Marissa were  flown from the scene to Mayo of Rochester with suspected substantial injuries. Andrew Petrenko rode his motorcycle from the scene with minor injuries. Richard and Andrew Allemann obtained a ride from the scene with suspected minor injuries.
