Business owners in Wisconsin say they can’t find people to interview for jobs, much less find anyone who wants to work.
Businesses and business groups went before lawmakers yesterday to once again ask that Wisconsin roll-back the enhanced federal unemployment benefits that they say are keeping people at home. Bevco Engineering CEO Chris Shult told lawmakers they can’t even find people who are willing to talk about coming back to work. Governor Evers and Democrats at the Capitol are insisting that Wisconsin will stay in the enhanced benefit program until September.
