There are growing calls for new regulation for election non-profits in Wisconsin. State Rep.
Janel Brandtjen said yesterday’s hearing into last fall’s election showed the non-profit groups, specifically the Mark Zuckerberg-funded Center for Tech and Civic Life, exploited Wisconsin’s lack of election regulations. Brandtjen says the group focused on Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Racine, and Kenosha. There are reports that CTCL all-but took over the election operation in Green Bay. Brandtjen said she expects several pieces of legislation to crackdown on outside groups and outside money, and their influence on elections in the state.
