Governor Tony Evers is vetoing a bill that would have given the Republican legislature power over coronavirus relief funds.
The governor announced the veto of Senate Bill 183 today saying the state can’t afford for the legislature to play politics with funds under the American Rescue Plan. The governor also announced how he intends to spend the federal funding Wisconsin has received in the latest COVID bill, including 600-million-dollars to help support businesses and 200-million-dollars for infrastructure projects.
