Tail Light Violation Leads to Arrest

A vehicle equipment violation leads to an arrest.

31 year old Quinnelius U. Neita, from Minneapolis, MN has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.

On Monday, March 22, 2021 at approximately 7:51 PM A Wisconsin State Trooper stopped a vehicle on Interstate 94 after observing that the tail lamps on the vehicle were inoperable. The trooper observed signs of impairment and a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety tests, showed that the driver, Quinnelius U. Neita, was operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. Mr. Neita was arrested and was transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary test of his blood.

Neita is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance with minor passenger in the vehicle, possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
