Speeding Leads to OWI for Minnesota Woman

35 year old Jayme Jatasha Spears, from New Hope, MN has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with two children in the vehicle under the age of 16.

At 3:00am on Wednesday, March 10th Jayme Spears was stopped for speeding on I94 eastbound near Menomonie, WI. During the initial contact with the driver a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper detected an odor of both burnt and raw marijuana.

Field sobriety tests and an interview by a drug recognition expert showed that Ms. Spears was under the influence of drugs. She was arrested with out
incident, taken for a blood test and then released to a responsible party. She was charged with OWI 1st with 2 children under 16 in the vehicle and possession of marijuana.
