No Previous Arrests Used in Floyd Trial

No evidence from George Floyd’s previous arrests will be used at the trial involving the four former officers charged in his death.

Attorneys for the officers wanted to include evidence from Floyd’s arrest in 2019, but the judge denied the motion Tuesday.  Derek Chauvin is charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter in Floyd’s death.  Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng, and Thomas Lane are charged with aiding and abetting.
