We’re just days away from leaving 2020 behind, and Times Square’s New Year’s Eve ball is ready too.
Workers added 192 glittering Waterford Crystal triangles to the 12-foot sphere Sunday in preparation for a pandemic-limited celebration. This year, new crystals were swapped in to display sunbursts representing “Gifts Of Happiness.” The ball will drop at 11:59 p.m. on New Year’s Eve for people around the globe who will be forced to watch from home.
