Bucky Asks for More Bucks

The University of Wisconsin System is asking for nearly 100 million-dollars more for pay raises in the next state budget.

The university yesterday asked for a two percent pay bump next year, and a two-and-a-half percent bump the year after that. UW employees just got a two percent raise this year, and a four percent raise last year. University leaders say they need to increase pay to keep-up with other Big Ten universities. There’s no word from the legislature on the request just yet.
