High Court Will Not Hear President Trump’s Challenge; WI Republicans to Investigate Election

The Wisconsin Supreme Court is not going to hear President Trump’s challenge to last month’s election.

The court ruled 4-3 yesterday that a lower court should first hear the case and establish the facts. Justice Brian Hagedorn joined the state’s liberal justices in the ruling. Conservatives on the court, particularly Justice Rebecca Bradley, say the ruling not only ends the president’s challenge, but leaves open questions and the distrust of Wisconsin’s November Election.

When it comes to next steps, Republicans in the Wisconsin Assembly are going to open an investigation into last month’s ‘election irregularities.’

The Assembly’s Committee on Campaigns and Elections yesterday said it will hold a hearing next week into complaints about voting machines, absentee ballots, and claims of voter fraud. State Rep. Ron Tuselr, who will run the hearing, says the goal is transparency and to restore confidence in the election system in the state.
