Wisconsin’s unemployment backlog continues to linger, though the new chief at the state’s Department of Workforce Development is promising to make some headway.
Interim Secretary Amy Pechacek is not saying how long it will take to erase the list of people waiting for either their unemployment benefits or their unemployment claim to be processed.
More than 70 thousand people in Wisconsin are waiting on a check, and Pechacek says there are over a half-million claims yet to be processed.
