A new report says there may be a new task for Foxconn’s plant in Mount Pleasant.
Bloomberg reported yesterday that Foxconn has agreed to start making servers for Google at the plant. Foxconn originally was going to make screens for iPhones, then shifted to larger LCD screens. Bloomberg reported that Foxconn got the contract because of its state of the art assembly line at the plant. Work is expected to start sometime early next year.
