EC Addresses Homelessness in Community

The city of Eau Claire is looking to spend more on homelessness.

The city council is looking to send 26 thousand-dollars more to Catholic Charities to help with the costs of the temporary shelter at the old Hansen’s IGA on Clairemont Avenue. The new money would be used to build an area for isolation or quarantine.

Audrey Boerner with the city-county health department says a quarantine area could help slow the spread of the coronavirus among Eau Claire’s homeless.
