The Golden Gophers football team won’t travel to the University of Wisconsin this weekend because of COVID-19.
The University of Minnesota says the football team will pause all team-related activities after nine student-athletes and six-staff members tested positive for COVID-19 in the last five days. The game is not going to be rescheduled and will be called no contest. It’s the first year since 1906 the teams won’t play a game the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
