It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like…

A 55-foot tall Colorado Engelman spruce tree is starting its trip to the nation’s capital to serve as the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree.

The spruce was cut down last Thursday and loaded onto a semitrailer for its 17-hundred mile trip from Colorado to Washington, D.C.  Each year a new tree is selected from among the country’s 155 National Forests to be displayed on the west lawn of the Capitol building.
