Clerks Expect Late Nights, Hope for Early Results

The hope is to know who won Wisconsin by the morning after Election Day.

Clerks from across the state last week said they have concerns about handling and counting the million-plus absentee ballots that are expected in November. Milwaukee Election Commission director Claire Woodall-Vogg expects her office to work all night, but said she hopes to have results by the time the sun comes up. Other clerks expect similar long nights on Election Day.
