Wednesday is Tax Day, delayed until July 15th this year because of the economic fallout from the coronavirus.
The IRS had also put collection on delinquent accounts on hold, but that hold also ends Wednesday. Taxpayers can file Form 4868 by Wednesday to get an extension to October 15th, but that only gives people more time to file, not pay.
