An accident just before 11:30 on Monday night leaves one dead.
The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a report of a single vehicle crash with injuries on County Highway B in the Town of Winter. Sawyer County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene, assisted by the Sawyer County Ambulance EMT’s/Paramedics and the Winter Fire Department.
Initial investigation indicates that a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 30 year old Lars A. Schnell, of Hayward, was traveling east on County Highway B when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle left the roadway, rolled over, coming to rest on the vehicles roof. Mr. Schnell, the lone occupant of the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries from the crash. The crash remains under investigation
